The first part of the GDE Fractured Neck of Femur pathway is now live, supporting clinicians in recording and viewing Admission and Ward Round assessments within the Healthviews application.
SALFORD Royal NHS Foundation Trust has won an international accolade for the way we have broken new ground in delivering quality improvements, as we strive to become the safest hospital in the NHS.
Thanks to your hard work, we were presented with an award from our electronic patient record (EPR) partners, Allscripts, in recognition of the excellence we have demonstrated in patient outcomes.
We were one of just five recipients of an ACIE (Allscripts Client Innovation Excellence) – and the only one from England.
We were judged winners of the Excellence in Achieving Quality Outcomes category – a reward for all the efforts made by many of you, especially our clinicians and digital team.
They worked in partnership as part of our Global Digital Exemplar programme of innovations to develop digital clinical pathways within the Allscripts system to enhance patient care.
The award praised the way we had maximised the potential of its Sunrise EPR technology in the detection of delirium and dementia.
It also highlighted improved patient experience, reduced lengths of stay, and the delivery high-quality care achieved in other digital care pathways we have taken forward - including fractured neck of femur, dementia and falls, and venous thromboembolism (VTE), a condition where a blood clot forms in a vein.
The ACIE awards honour the stand-out achievements by all the worldwide users of Allscripts Sunrise and the way EPR is used to drive improvements in care and quality.
Our award was announced at the annual Allscripts user conference in St Louis, Missouri, United States. Sarah Hulme, Head of EPR Development; and Dr Nawar Bakerly, divisional Chief Clinical Information Officer, picked up the award on behalf of Salford Royal.
The company partners with more than 3,400 hospitals and health systems around the world to transform healthcare.
