The first part of the GDE Fractured Neck of Femur pathway is now live, supporting clinicians in recording and viewing Admission and Ward Round assessments within the Healthviews application.
A new website has been launched this week by Salford Royal to highlight the work of its Global Digital Exemplar (GDE) programme.
The Trust was chosen to be one of 16 NHS acute Global Digital Exemplars in 2016 and has been working on a programme of work, involving more than 50 separate digital health projects.
The website, – www.salfordgde.nhs.uk – includes videos and case studies around the various digital advances which are already delivering outcomes for patients.
Gareth Thomas, Chief Clinical Information Officer, said: “Our vision is to become an internationally recognised NHS provider, delivering exceptional patient care, through the use of world class digital technology and information. As the most digital mature organisation in the NHS, we are now going to be operating on a global stage where we can share our learning and experiences. The Salford GDE website will help us share the benefits of digital transformation with other healthcare providers at scale and pace.”
