Problem Statement

To find an alternative method of delivering group education classes to Diabetes Patients who before COVID-19 would typically attend a group classroom session at the Hospital 

This informal knowledge transfer session normally lasts 45 minutes with a small number of people.  The diabetes Dietician has 200 patients on their caseload that they deliver group education to.  The Health Care Professionals had been informed that due to the Travel restrictions imposed by COVID-19 that they would be unable to deliver any group education to these patients for at least a year.

What was the solution?

"The Web Version of Microsoft Teams"

The Web Version of MS Teams was chosen as the solution as it made the process of joining the Virtual Classroom quick and easy for members of the public.  All they have to do is click on a link and enter their name before joining.  This avoids the need to have to download a piece of software and they can join the Virtual Classroom without having to complete a complex registration form.
